A partnership between Mexico's Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG), the National Agrifood Health, Safety and Quality Service (Senasica), and the Association of Exporters of Frutas de Chile AG (ASOEX) is in place to ensure compliance with Mexico's import protocols by monitoring farms and fruit centers in Chile. This collaboration, marked by the presence of Mexican inspectors in Chile, has been instrumental in boosting Chilean fruit exports to Mexico, which during the 2021-2022 season amounted to 37,141 tons, making Mexico the fifth largest recipient of Chilean fruits in Latin America. The broad spectrum of exports includes a variety of fresh fruits such as grapes, kiwis, peaches, apples, nectarines, plums, and pears, highlighting the significance of this partnership in opening the Mexican market to new Chilean products.
