Assembly Elections 2026 highlights: TVK releases its election manifesto

TVK chief Vijay released his party’s manifesto for the April 23 Assembly polls, promising ₹2,500 monthly assistance for women and 8 gram gold for marriage assistance. Postal voting for senior citizens aged 85 and above, and persons with benchmark disabilities will be conducted across all 16 Assembly constituencies in Chennai district from Thursday (April 16, 2026) to Saturday (April 18, 2026), ahead of the Assembly election.
