Astrakhan Region in Russia expects agricultural production to grow by 6.4% in 2024

The Astrakhan Region plans to increase its gross agricultural production to 75 billion rubles by the end of the current year, the region's governor Igor Babushkin said during a "direct line" on Friday. As reported, by the end of 2023, the gross agricultural production in the region grew by 5.5% and reached 70.5 billion rubles. Thus, in 2024, this figure may grow by 6.4%. The growth is expected, among other things, due to investment projects in the agro-industrial complex. Today, 15 investment projects are being implemented in the region, and more than 3.5 thousand new jobs have already been created.
