The Astrakhan Region in Russia is planning to increase its gross agricultural production to 75 billion rubles by the end of the year, marking a 6.4% growth from 2023 when it reached 70.5 billion rubles. This growth is attributed to ongoing investment projects in the agro-industrial complex, of which there are currently 15, and is expected to create over 3,500 new jobs. The region also plans to double its investment in the agro-industrial complex to 10 billion rubles this year and has allocated 1.4 billion rubles in state support for agricultural producers.
