REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of Agriculture and Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Andi Amran Sulaiman, led an emergency meeting to accelerate the distribution of food aid for disaster management in the Sumatra region, Monday (1/12/2025). The meeting was held at the residence of the Minister since 6:00 AM as a sign of the government's seriousness in accelerating coordination in the emergency response situation. During the meeting, the Minister gathered all ranks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Bapanas to ensure that the response measures are carried out quickly, directed, and on target. He emphasized, the country must be fully present among the communities affected by floods and landslides in West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh. "In such emergency conditions, there must be no delays. All ranks of the Ministry of Agriculture and Bapanas must move quickly, ensure the availability of safe food, and that aid reaches the people immediately," the Minister asserted. ...
