Russia: Increase in the export of Altai vegetable oils at the beginning of 2021

The development of export of fat and oil products is an important component of the regional project "Export of agricultural products" being implemented in the Altai Territory. According to the operational data of the Federal Customs Service, as of March 7, 2021, the export of fat and oil products in value terms increased by almost 28% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 7.2 thousand tons worth 8.5 million US dollars. The main importers of Altai vegetable oils are: Uzbekistan, China, Mongolia, Germany, Afghanistan. On the part of foreign partners, a significant increase in demand for Altai sunflower oil was noted. The deliveries of these products in physical terms increased by 1.5 times, a total of 2.7 thousand tons were shipped for export in the amount of 3.5 million US dollars.
