Australia opens as a destination market for Chilean salmon

After a long audit process carried out by the Australian Government's Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF), our country was notified of its official recognition for the export of processed salmonids in the country to that market and the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Service (Sernapesca) as the Competent Authority authorized for its certification. This implies the incorporation of Chile in the list of countries that comply with the biosecurity standards for the import of salmonids to Australia (BICON), which authorizes the export of Atlantic salmon and Silver or Coho salmon for direct human consumption.
