Authorities outline work route to export Michoacan lemon to Sweden

In Stockholm, Sweden, the governor of the state of Michoacán, Alfredo Ramírez, and members of Food Collective, a Swedish organization that promotes the marketing of fresh, processed and frozen agricultural products, outlined a work route to export Michoacan lemon to the European country. The state leader agreed to formalize in the first quarter of 2025 a collaboration agreement with this organization specialized in international trade to export fresh lemon, through an import scheme for the placement of agricultural products in the Swedish market, detailed the Government of the State of Michoacán in a press release. Michoacán is a leader in agricultural exports in Mexico, where of every three dollars sold in the United States, one is from the state, that is, about 7 billion dollars a year of avocado, berries, lemon and others such as mango and banana.
