Autonomous firefighting and transport robots are on the rise...expecting to reduce labor and improve productivity

The Korea Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology (KIAST) announced that it held an on-site demonstration of apple orchards using pest control, transportation, and growth monitoring robots on the 26th of last month in Sangok-ri, Jukjang-myeon, Pohang, Gyeongbuk. This demonstration is part of the agricultural robot demonstration support project being promoted by KIAST. It involves deploying autonomous pest control robots, transportation robots, and growth monitoring robots in actual apple cultivation sites to comprehensively verify the labor-saving effect, economic efficiency, and convenience of agricultural work. The agricultural robot demonstration support project is a project entrusted by the Rural Development Administration to KIAST from 2023 to 2027.
