Around 200 chicken farmers in Indonesia are planning to protest on January 10, 2023, presenting a total of 10 demands. The demands include the replacement of the Minister of Agriculture and the Director General of PKH, an increase in chicken prices in line with the National Food Agency's reference price, and the restoration of 100% self-owned cultivation. They are also calling for a review of the ownership of GPS (grand parent stock) and for breeders to be allowed to import their own GPS quotas, aiming to prevent monopolization by a few companies.
