The Food Safety Agency of Azerbaijan (AQTA) and the General Administration of Customs of China signed the draft "Protocol on Inspection, Quarantine, and Sanitary Requirements for Hazelnuts and Almonds Exported from the Republic of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China," reports EastFruit.
The signing ceremony took place during a visit by the AQTA delegation to China as part of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Thus, hazelnuts and almonds grown in Azerbaijan will now also be exported to China.

As reported by Abc.az, during the meeting, the parties also signed a draft document on the mechanism for cooperation in the field of food safety during import and export.
In addition, the parties discussed issues related to the export of cherries, apples, persimmons, pomegranates, and other agricultural products.
