Bac Giang, a Vietnamese province known for its agricultural productivity and diversity, is expected to have a bountiful lychee harvest this year, with an estimated yield of over 180,000 tons. This makes it the largest lychee-growing region in the country. A significant portion of this crop, around 1,500 tons, is planned for export to the United States, tapping into the American market's strong demand. Despite the challenges in transportation and preservation, Bac Giang is keen to expand its agricultural exports. The province is seeking support from the Trade Promotion Department and the European-American Market Department to enhance its export capabilities. To this end, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with several businesses to facilitate the export of lychees to the U.S.
