Peruvian tangerine exports experienced growth in 2022, reaching 229,528 tons and a value of US$ 266 million, with over 35 countries and 85 exporters. However, a shift to more profitable crops like avocados or blueberries is expected to decrease tangerine crops by up to 8% due to high temperatures delaying the season and reducing exports. The Murcott and Tango varieties are expected to grow by 8% and 19%, respectively, while Satsuma and Clementine varieties are expected to decline by 40% and 30%, respectively, due to logistical issues and oversupply.
