Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality distributed saplings to farmers in Sındırgı district in order to encourage walnut and almond cultivation. Following the evaluation made by the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, municipal teams delivered 1670 almond saplings and 14 thousand 730 walnut saplings to 104 farmers who met the conditions. Speaking at the distribution ceremony held in front of the Kışla Memories Fountain, District Agriculture and Forestry Director Kemal Hatırnaz stated that the applications of all farmers who requested were received and expressed his satisfaction with the projects realized.
