Bangladesh receives first shipment of Brazilian green coffee

On the last Monday, February 2, 2026, Bangladesh received the first shipment of green coffee beans from Brazil. The arrival of this first import was accompanied by the Brazilian agricultural attaché in Dhaka, Silvio Testasecca, and was carried out by the company North End Coffee Roasters, which currently operates 15 coffee shops in Bangladesh and maintains, in the capital, a production, distribution, and training center. Currently, instant coffee is the most consumed in the country. With the entry and increased access to Brazilian green coffee, an advancement in consumption is projected, since the tariff applied is the same for shipments originating from Singapore, the source of about 70% of the coffee imported by Bangladesh up to now.
