Bapanas: Prices of Premium and Medium Compact Rice Decrease
Bapanas instructs Bulog to continue distributing CBP.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The National Food Agency (Bapanas) recorded a decrease in the prices of medium and premium compact rice at the end of October 2025. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the price of medium rice nationally dropped by 1.65 percent compared to the previous month. The price of premium rice weakened by 0.69 percent. Head of Bapanas Andi Amran Sulaiman emphasized that the price decrease is a tangible result of strict supervision and coordination across agencies. He assessed that the government's efforts to maintain rice prices in line with the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) are starting to show positive results in various regions. “Rice prices have already decreased across Indonesia. But we must not be complacent. Control will be much tighter in the future.
