(Agraria.pe) BASF, this year, is focusing on melon and watermelon as strategic crops that now combine synergies and strategies under a single concept: The Melonution. “The Melonution is our strategic movement to strengthen the melon and watermelon industry through innovation, sustainability, and shared growth,” states Diego Maestre, Global Crop Manager of BASF | Nunhems. The Melonution is based on the four pillars that, in recent years, have outlined the company's four paths to success in melon and watermelon. Firstly, production and quality, combining in the same genetics the response to agronomic needs (biotic and abiotic stress, for example) with the demands of organoleptic quality, recognized as its identity. The result is, for example, their new line of ‘superplants’ in cantaloupe, led by Izalco.
