Russia: Bashkiria exported 5.5 thousand tons of rapeseed oil to China

Oil extraction enterprises of Bashkiria exported 5.5 thousand tons of rapeseed oil in the first seven months of 2024, the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor reported. “The main country importing rapeseed processing products for vegetable oil was the People’s Republic of China, where this product, the richest source of unsaturated fatty acids, is in high demand,” the supervisory agency explained. All 257 batches of vegetable oil with a total weight of 5.447 thousand tons were inspected by the Bashkiria Office of Rosselkhoznadzor before shipment to China. The selected samples of quarantine products underwent laboratory tests. According to the results of the examinations, no harmful quarantine organisms were found in the oil.
