BB: provision amounts to R$ 17.9 billion in Q3 2025, a 54% increase from Q3 2024

By André Marinho and Altamiro Silva Junior São Paulo, 11/12/2025 - The provisions of Banco do Brasil for doubtful settlement credits totaled R$ 17.9 billion in the third quarter of this year, an increase of 54.2% compared to the same period in 2024. In one quarter, the provisions rose by 12.7%. Year-to-date, the bank has made R$ 44 billion in provisions. The indicator called the cost of credit, which included the provisions discounted from the recoveries of troubled loans, rose 78% for the year. Of this total of provisions for the third quarter, R$ 8.8 billion are for the agribusiness portfolio. The bank highlights in the balance sheet that the sector has been facing problems mainly in the soybean crop and in the Midwest and South regions of the country, in addition to the effect of judicial recovery requests in the segment.
