The Mexican government has invested over 22 million pesos to support over a thousand aquaculture projects in Baja California Sur, leading to the state becoming the second highest oyster production state in the country. This investment has aided more than a thousand producers and has helped decompress fishing areas that had reached their maximum extraction capacity. SEPADA Secretary Andrés Córdova Urrutia visited the Robles Aquaculture laboratory, which is a significant employer in the area and a key partner in the development of aquaculture projects in the middle peninsula.
