Turkey: Bean producers in Bursa are worried about prices

In Bursa, where most of Turkey's green bean needs are met, producers are worried about prices this year. The producer, who said that last year green beans were sold for 30 liras per kilo, stated that this year it dropped to 12 liras. Manufacturers stated that they were crushed by increasing workers' wages and costs. According to 2023 TÜİK data, Bursa ranks first in our country with the production of 70 thousand 414 tons of green beans in an area of 39 thousand 941 decares. Bursa's Yenişehir district meets 55 percent of this production with 38 thousand 640 tons of bean production.
