Bean prices continue to fluctuate, but overall increases have been prevailing, especially for higher-quality carioca beans. Support for this type of grain comes from the scarcity of the product in the national market. This is what studies from the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) indicate. Even so, the strong growth in first-season production compensated for this reduction and should result in a slight increase in the state's total supply. Estimates from the 17th Deral/Seab point out that the second crop bean production fell 23%, totaling 526.6 thousand tons.
