Ukraine significantly increased beef exports last month, driven by production volume reductions in several countries and rising global prices. This was reported by the Milk Producers Association. "Demand for red meat traditionally increases with the start of barbecue season after May holidays. In May, our exporters delivered 21 tons of fresh or chilled beef to external markets. This is more than tenfold (or 980%) higher than last month's figure. At the same time, export revenue amounted to $137,000, which is almost six times (493%) more compared to April," noted Milk Producers Association analyst Georgiy Kukhaleisvili. Compared to the same period last year, sales abroad of this product decreased. Exports of fresh or chilled beef decreased by 91% compared to May 2024, and export revenue fell by 91%.
