In response to a case of new crown pneumonia in Beijing, the Beijing Daxing District Agriculture and Rural Bureau has taken steps to ensure the production of overwintering vegetables by concentrating on 15,600 acres of land, with a supply of approximately 218 tons. The district has also increased the production capacity and planting area for facility vegetables and expanded the variety of winter vegetables. They have established a report system to monitor vegetable production, distributed fruits and vegetables to communities, and formulated a logistics and transportation work plan to ensure access to agricultural products and necessities. The district has also coordinated with large supermarkets and through train companies to arrange vegetable through trains to reach the community, ensuring residents have a sufficient supply of "vegetable basket" products.
