The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Belarus for the first eight months of 2020 saw a decrease of 16.4%, totaling $420.1 million, compared to the same period the previous year. This decline was reflected in both exports and imports, with a 41.7% decrease in exports to $41.8 million and a 12.1% decrease in imports to $378.3 million. Despite this, there were increases in the import of certain goods from Belarus, such as fresh or chilled beef, sugar, milk, and condensed and dry cream. However, imports of machines and mechanisms for harvesting and threshing agricultural crops experienced a decrease of 30.7%. Kazakhstan's exports to Belarus included fresh melons, watermelons, and papayas, while the export of flax seeds to Belarus has ceased this year.
