The apple harvest in Belgium this year will be 14.9% less than last year due to a reduction in garden areas and yield. The area of apple orchards in Belgium also decreased by 1,089 hectares, mainly affecting Jonagold and Jonagored varieties. However, there is a significant increase in other non-traditional varieties of apples, while across Europe, the apple harvest is expected to be 3.27% less than last year.
