Bhutan has reported an outbreak of African swine fever in pigs located near the India border, with six deaths out of a herd of 58, as confirmed by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH). The disease, while harmless to humans, is lethal to pigs and has previously severely impacted China's swine herds.
