While Brazil advances in development policies by integrating the agroindustrial matrix with the energy sector, Argentina continues to work on defining a roadmap for the promotion of biofuels. This Wednesday, the members of the Senate Commission on Mining, Energy, and Fuels, chaired by Flavio Fama, resumed the debate on two initiatives regarding the promotion of biofuels, one of which, presented by Alejandra Vigo from Córdoba (Federal Unity), has the endorsement of the Bioenergy League – comprising the provinces of Catamarca, Córdoba, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Jujuy, Misiones, Salta, Santa Fe, and Tucumán –, the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), the Sugar Center of Argentina, and the Corn Bioethanol Chamber.
