The leader of the National Confederation of Meat Workers of Bolivia (Contracabol), Jorge Morgoya, indicated that the sector remains in a state of emergency because speculation and price increases are affecting the livestock sector. He explained that retailers only sell the products provided by producers in Beni and Santa Cruz, at a price between 38 and 42 bolivianos per kilogram. “That way, the price of pork meat is between 60 and 70 bolivianos, depending on the quality.
