Bolivia has approved the export of Brazilian blood products, hemoglobin, and plasma from cattle and pigs, for their high nutritional value in the feed industry. This marks the second market opening for Bolivia for Brazil in less than a year, following fertile eggs in December 2023. Since the beginning of the year, Brazilian agricultural exports to Bolivia have amounted to approximately US$ 300 million, primarily in forestry products. This opening is significant for Brazilian agribusiness, marking its 198th market opening this year, with a total of 276 openings in 61 destinations since 2023, a collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
