South Korea: Boryeong City invests KRW 14.4 billion to increase sea cucumber resources

Boryeong City, South Chungcheong Province, announced that it will carry out a project to build a sea cucumber mass production facility to increase sea cucumber production and secure competitiveness in aquaculture. In order to increase production at existing sea cucumber farms, this project will invest 14.4 billion won over three years from this year, which will be used to create eco-friendly habitats and spawning grounds (dialysis, functional blocks, etc.), and stocking of mother and baby ginseng. Sea cucumbers are popular with consumers due to their rich nutritional content and unique taste.
