Bosnia and Herzegovina has seen a significant decrease in its frozen raspberry exports, with a 48% drop in value and 45% drop in volume over the past year, equating to a total of 6,900 tons. This decline, which has been ongoing since 2019, is largely due to the broader crisis in the European frozen raspberry market. The main markets for Bosnia's raspberries, including Serbia, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, and Austria, have also seen a decrease in imports. In contrast, Ukraine's raspberry exports have increased, with an expected growth of at least 20-25% for the 2022/23 season, reaching 42,500 tons. This growth has positioned Ukraine as a stronger competitor in the global raspberry market, potentially displacing Bosnia and Herzegovina and Morocco, which is also strengthening its position.
