One of the most paradoxical situations for raspberry growers in 2025 turned out to be related not to climate change, but to satellite inspections. This was commented by the Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Raspberry and Strawberry Growers (BAM-YA) Bozhidar Petkov to Agri.BG. "One of the innovations we implemented due to the extremely strong sunshine and sunburn was to wrap the raspberry bushes directly with shading nets, without any structures," Petkov said. According to him, this approach yielded results. "The nets had a beneficial effect and we managed to save a large part of the raspberries that were left after all the climatic shocks," he further explained.
