The prices of rice, sugar, and chilies in Indonesia are on an upward trend, according to the Head of the Central Statistics Agency. Sugar prices have increased in 338 districts/cities, rice prices have increased in 283 districts/cities, and cayenne pepper prices have increased in 259 districts/cities. However, there is a downward trend in rice prices, with medium rice falling by IDR 40 per kg and premium rice falling by IDR 10 per kg in the past week.
