Brazil and Paraguay sign an agreement for joint actions in the area of animal health

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) of Brazil and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of Paraguay signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in animal health. The objective is for the two countries to be able to cooperate in the exchange of information on animal health, in the joint action of epidemiological surveillance in municipalities located on the border line and in the joint action of health surveillance at the points of entry to the border line. The document was signed this Tuesday (22) by Minister Marcos Montes and Paraguayan Minister Santiago Bertoni. “The Memorandum will be a relevant instrument of cooperation in the area of animal health, as Brazil and Paraguay face similar challenges, especially in the border regions”, said the Brazilian minister.
