Brazil considers mandatory veterinary exam

In Brazil, a new bill could change the rules for the professional practice of veterinarians. Legislative Assembly Bill 4262/23, sponsored by Representative Marcelo Queiroz (PP-RJ), proposes the mandatory requirement for practicing veterinary medicine. The initiative is currently being processed in the country's Chamber of Deputies and amends Law 5,517/68, which regulates veterinary practice and the role of professional councils.
