The Brazilian government is proud to announce a new agreement with Egypt, which will allow Brazil to export beef with a new health certificate, as well as buffalo meat and offal. This deal strengthens the already strong commercial relationship between the two countries, with Egypt being the ninth largest importer of Brazilian agricultural products in 2024. In the first ten months of 2024, Egypt imported over US$ 2.59 billion worth of agricultural products from Brazil. This achievement is part of a larger strategy by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) to secure 208 market openings and 286 new commercial opportunities in 62 countries since 2023.
