Brazil expands access to markets and guarantees new exports in three countries

Brazil has secured new sanitary and phytosanitary authorizations in the Philippines, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. The negotiations allow for the expansion of agricultural exports and reinforce the strategy of diversifying destinations. The openings represent advances in three fronts: animal products, processed grains, and seeds used in tropical agriculture. With the new authorizations, the Brazilian agribusiness sector reaches 496 market openings since the beginning of 2023. The result is the joint action of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), which work to expand destinations, diversify products, and strengthen the competitiveness of the sector in global trade.
