Brazil's coffee exports in November increased by 5.4% to 4.662 million bags, generating revenue of US$ 1.343 billion, a 62.7% increase from the same month in 2023. From January to November 2024, Brazil's coffee exports hit records for both volume and revenue, with a 3.78% increase to 46.399 million bags and a 32.2% increase to US$ 11.302 billion, respectively, compared to the previous year. The United States and Germany were the leading importers of Brazilian coffee. However, logistical issues have led to delays and changes in export ships, resulting in 1.717 million bags not shipped by October, which could have brought in US$ 489.72 million in revenue. Cecafé reported a "port loss" of R$ 7 million in October due to logistical obstacles in Brazilian ports, with total losses reaching R$ 30.4 million for 2024.
