Brazil has the capacity to be among the world's largest cocoa producers

Cocoa cultivation is already a reality in São Paulo and should replace areas dedicated to other crops, such as oranges and bananas, in the near future. The São Paulo government estimates that there are, today, 300 hectares of cocoa planted in the northwest of the state and another around 300 hectares on the coast and in Vale do Ribeira. These were some of the themes of the meeting held this month at the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (Faesp), with representatives from the CocoaAction Brasil Foundation and the National Association of Cocoa Processing Industries (AIPC) who presented an overview of planting of cocoa in Brazil, highlighting the feasibility of expansion in the State of São Paulo. The superintendent of the National Rural Learning Service (Senar-SP), Mario Antonio de Moraes Biral, participated in the meeting.
