According to the survey, the cultivated area is expected to reach 2.16 million hectares, a 3.54% increase from the previous cycle. This growth is mainly driven by Bahia, which is expected to expand its cotton area by 35 thousand hectares, maintaining its position as the second largest national producer—behind only Mato Grosso. Despite the growth in area, the estimated productivity fell by 2.74%, dropping from 312.58 kg/ha to 304.00 kg/ha.
