According to the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC), data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) indicate that the country is expected to produce 12.35 million tons in 2025, a volume that exceeds, for the first time, the estimate for the United States, projected at 11.81 million tons. According to the USDA, the predicted Brazilian production for 2025 represents growth close to 4% compared to 2024, when the volume was around 11.9 million tons. The result contradicts initial projections of a contraction and reflects advances in the efficiency of the national livestock sector.
