Brazil modernizes regulation of agrochemicals and bioinputs

During the International Symposium on Pesticide Registration Systems, held in South Korea, the Secretary of Agricultural Defense, Carlos Goulart, presented this Wednesday (26) the legislative changes conducted by Brazil in the last two years. According to him, the focus of the updates is on the modernization of the regulatory system for agrochemicals and the creation of the new legal framework for bio-inputs. Goulart stated that the agrochemical legislation did not change technical criteria, but improved the organization of the norms and reinforced principles already adopted in the country. "Our goal was to organize and give transparency to what the country was already applying, maintaining the technical rigor that has always characterized the Brazilian system," highlighted the secretary.
