The Brazilian government has concluded negotiations with Turkish authorities that will allow the export of Brazil nuts, with and without shells, to that country. Internationally recognized for its nutritional value, the Brazil nut is sustainably extracted by traditional communities. The export of this product to the Turkish market will promote income generation and regional development, contributing to the conservation of standing forests. With this announcement, the Brazilian agribusiness sector has reached 535 market openings since the beginning of 2023. This result is the fruit of the joint work between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
