Brazil has surpassed the United States as the world's largest exporter of corn, thanks to its increasing production and available land. The Brazilian Association of Corn Producers and the National Association of Cereal Exporters believe that unless the US changes its export policies, Brazil will remain the top corn supplier for many years. In the 2022-2023 harvest, Brazil collected a record 130 million tons of corn, allowing it to increase its exports to 50 million tons, while the US faced a reduced harvest due to drought.
