The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, in collaboration with various institutions, has released the Cachaça Yearbook 2024, highlighting key data from the cachaça sector in Brazil for the year 2023. The report reveals a robust growth across various metrics, including a 7.8% increase in the number of cachaçarias, reaching 1,217, with Minas Gerais leading as the top state. The total registered products saw an 18.5% rise, totaling 5,998. Exports also grew slightly, with the United States and Europe being the primary markets. The cachaça sector is significant in job creation, with a total of 134,678 direct jobs, showing a 3.35% increase. This initiative aims to underscore Brazil's position as a major player in the global beverage industry, contributing to national pride and economic resilience.
