The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has approved the import of bananas and nuts from Brazil, adding to the over USD 1.3 billion worth of agricultural exports Brazil made to the EAEU in 2024. Brazil also has authorization to export yerba mate and macadamia nuts to Saudi Arabia, which imported over USD 2.3 billion in Brazilian agricultural products in the same year. Additionally, Thailand has permitted Brazil to export fish flour and oil, increasing the trade opportunities between the two countries. These developments reflect Brazil's strategy to diversify its export portfolio and highlight the global trust in Brazil's sanitary and phytosanitary control systems, leading to 221 market openings and 299 new business opportunities since 2023.
