The government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva hopes that Paraguay, which will hold the Pro Tempore Presidency of Mercosur in the first half of 2026, will lead the work of the bloc and continue prioritizing the advancement in negotiations for the inclusion of the automotive and sugar sectors in free trade among the Member States of the bloc.
