Brazilian chicken and pork processors are set to produce and export record volumes of both products this year, with chicken production projected to grow by up to 1.8% to 15.1 million metric tons, and pork production expected to rise by 1%. Chicken exports are predicted to increase by 2.2% to 5.25 million tons, despite temporary trade bans following a Newcastle disease outbreak. Pork exports could see a boost of up to 7.7% in 2024, reaching 1.325 million tons. This increase could be further aided by potential dumping measures by China against European pork processors, which could benefit Brazil, the US, and Canada.
