The Brazilian Poultry and Egg Exporters Association (ABPA) forecasts a rise in the production of chicken and pork in Brazil in 2024 and 2025. Chicken production is expected to reach 15 million tons in 2024, with 9.7 million tons for domestic consumption and 5.3 million tons for exports. Pork production, on the other hand, is projected to increase to 5.35 million tons in 2024, with domestic availability of 4 million tons and exports of 1.35 million tons. Meanwhile, egg production is predicted to grow to 57.6 billion units in 2024, with per capita consumption reaching 269 units, but exports are expected to decrease to 18,000 tons. The period from 2025 is also anticipated to see continued growth in these areas, with positive trends in both domestic consumption and international market expansion.
