Brazilian ports handled 120.4 million tons of cargo in September, marking a double record. This was the highest volume for the month in the historical series, representing an increase of 4.84% compared to last year. Between January and September, there were 1.04 billion tons, 3.25% more than in the same period of 2024 and also the best performance of this period in the entire historical series. According to data from the Aquaviário Statistician of the National Agency of Aquaviário Transports (Antaq), there was also a historical performance in long-haul navigation, cabotage, and inland navigation. The first was responsible for the movement of 87.7 million tons of cargo, an increase of 3.35%; cabotage movement reached 25.1 million tons, a growth of 1.28%; and inland navigation moved 7.5 million tons, a rise of 50%.
